7D6N Taiwan Trip (June 2015)

Day one: Taipei

We took an early morning flight so we arrived in Taipei at about 2pm. Our plane landed at their budget Terminal so we had to take a shuttle bus to their international Terminal. Bought a bus ticket which brought us to Taipei Main Train Station, which was great! because our hotel was near the train station. Our bus ride took about 1.5hrs.

The hotel we stayed in was Hotel Puri. It is a very simple no frill hotel. Don't expect too much for a budget hotel. Cant really find an image of the hotel right now. But if you are looking for a simple hotel just to rest, Hotel Puri is quite a good option. It is about 5 mins walk away from the MRT. It is clean and pretty much a decent hotel for the price and location. Take exit Y13 if you are staying there!

Right beside the hotel is this SUPER GOOD pepper bun. I don't exactly fancy pepper. But this is really good. We got it when it was fresh out of the oven so please try it when you are near the area.

After that we went to XiMenDing just to walk around and we tried to do some shopping!!!! really disappointed though. cause many people told me the shopping there was good and trendy. But I felt like there weren't any interesting stuff and the prices are thereabout the same as Singapore. So we didnt buy anything while we were there.

But we did chance upon mango ice! as expected, it was good but nothing much fantastic about it.

HOWEVER, we saw this really interesting theme restaurant which many people mentioned about it in blogs. It is the toilet bowl restaurant! The entire theme and design of the restaurant is great. But the food, not so great. Their pasta was disappointing but the hot pot was not too bad. It was worth the experience but most probably wont be going back again. So for all you people who may not have try this restaurant, you can consider this place.
WONT recommend it, but it is an interesting concept.

But i think the highlight of that day got to be the SHILIN night market.
The shopping there was SUPER GOOD. It's like our pasar malam here in Singapore, but BIGGER and BETTER. definitely more varieties. I went to SHILIN market 2 times in this trip. I guess you can tell how much I like that place. Prices there are definitely cheaper than XIMENDING and they have more unique stuff as well as more street food! The street food is awesome here! Would definitely go back to ShiLin if i get the chance to go Taipei again.

obviously too lazy to write about the rest of my trip. Till next time!

My family and I went there last Thursday! What a great experience. It wasnt our first time there though. BURPZ is located at blk 603. About 5 mins walk from St Nicholas Girls School. That café gave a very cosy atmosphere. It is still new as its their second month operating. Dad's family likes going there a lot. My cousins love it there and always bug us to bring them there! i personally like the place too cause they provide good food with a cosy atmosphere!
Lets allow the photo to do the talking!

Omakase Burger

This is probably the best burger I've eaten. my friend and i decided to eat at this restaurant cause the smile of truffle is so strong.
Though it was pricey for a student like us, we decided to give it a try cause we had a stressful week and had needed a good meal.
We went during lunch time, so it was pretty packed. Plus the chairs are comfortable so people were not willing to leave.
My friend decided to look or a seat while i went to order our food.
When the food came, my friend and i were SO happy. we could not contained our happiness. The burger and truffle fries was THAT good.
we spent a total of estimated $42 for 1 omakase cheese burger, 1 bacon cheese burger, 1 bowl of truffle fries and 2 root beer float.
I only managed to take 1 photo of it cause it looked so good and i couldn't wait to eat it.
it was so good, i brought my mum to try it! She agreed it was good and suggest bringing my dad there soon!

Magnum Cafe Pop up store at Raffles City (MOVED!)

This post is about my experience at a Magnum pop up store! I went to the one at Raffles City in January but I heard the magnum pop up stall at Raffles City moved and there is one currently at NEX (Serangoon). So if you guys want to have it, please go check it out! It was super yummy and my family really had an enjoyable time there. However, there weren't enough seats so we had to seat separately. Oh well.
The price range is about 15-20 dollars except for the stick ice cream which cost about $7.
Here are some photos from Magnum café. It's a really great place if you love Magnum!
Will update soon!
xoxo.
